Cafeteria
Cafeteria
The Food Services Division of LAUSD Café LA operates the largest School Breakfast Program and the second largest National School Lunch Program in the United States. We serve over 680,000 meals each day, which include a healthy breakfast, lunch and supper after school. Our mission is “Nourishing Children to Achieve Excellence” and Café LA accomplishes this through our various meal programs that provide healthy nutrients and energy to support the academic and physical growth of children.
Special Diets Requests
Special Diets are provided to students with a disability or medical condition that limits a major life activity such as breathing or learning; or to students with severe or life-threatening food allergies.
A current LAUSD Special Diet Memo and Form must be completed and signed by a Medical Authority. This form must be completed in its entirety and returned to the school's cafeteria. If the form is not complete, the special diet cannot be processed. (you may download, print and fill out the form by hand or fill in the form and then print)
Please note that special meals are not provided to accommodate food preferences or religious convictions.
Almond, Rice, or Soy Milk
Parents/Guardians may request almond, rice, or soy milk for their child as a substitute for fluid milk due to medical or other special dietary needs. The Soy Milk Request Form must be completed and returned to the School Food Service Manager at the school site . A medical authority signature is not required for this form. If you need to request lactose-free milk, please inform the Food Service Manager at your child's school.
