Welcome to the 2024–25 Taper Tigers Robotics Team Competition Page!
This year, Taper competed with two teams who took first place in the Teamwork Challenge at the VEX IQ League hosted at Steven White Middle School.

Our 5th grade team also earned the prestigious Robot Skills Champion Award.

Our 4th grade team brought home the Judges Award, recognizing their outstanding performance and professionalism.
Both teams qualified for the California State Championship! At State, the 5th grade team competed fiercely and demonstrated incredible skills, while the 4th grade team made us especially proud by earning 3rd place overall!
A heartfelt thank you to our parent volunteer coaches this year for their dedication, leadership, and support of our students.
Underwater Robotics
In other exciting and related news! This year several members of our 4th grade Robotics Team advanced to help build a special underwater robot, guided by Mr. Sayers, dedicated team parents, and our incredible partners at Alta Sea. This pioneering project is part of an exciting new effort, as LAUSD works to launch its first-ever underwater robotics competition, scheduled for May 10th, 2025. Stay tuned for more information on our student's STEM journey through marine robotics.
